"The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,
says the LORD Almighty." — Hagai 2:9
A faith-based community serving Dodoma City, Tanzania since 2016. Building lives through faith, dignity, and practical service to the most vulnerable.
Rooted in faith. Committed to community. Serving since 2016.
House of Glory International Church (HGIC) was formally registered on 20 January 2016 under Registration Number S.A 18635 in Dodoma City, Tanzania — the nation's capital.
For over a decade, HGIC has served the Dodoma community through worship, spiritual guidance, youth mentorship, community feeding initiatives, and family support. Our mission extends beyond the walls of the church to reach the most vulnerable members of our community — especially children.
Guided by the promise of Hagai 2:9, we believe that the glory of what is being built today will surpass what came before. This conviction drives our commitment to practical, measurable, and compassionate service alongside our spiritual mission.
In 2026, HGIC is launching its flagship initiative: the Child Care and Development Center — a structured, community-based intervention to support 100 vulnerable children in Dodoma City, backed by a Year 1 budget of USD 114,916.
An integrated model of care for 100 vulnerable children aged 6–14 in Dodoma City
Three nutritious meals per day sourced from local farmers, supplemented by an on-site vegetable garden and nutrition education for children and families.
School fees, uniforms, learning materials, after-school tutoring by dedicated tutors, and introductory digital literacy to keep children learning and progressing.
Community Health Fund enrollment, biannual health screenings, hygiene education, and an emergency referral fund for children who need medical care.
Qualified social worker for case management, emotional support, family engagement, and child protection follow-up aligned to Tanzania's Law of the Child Act.
Structured football, netball, athletics, life-skills training, confidence building, and leadership development through positive engagement and recreation.
Professional safeguarding framework with staff vetting, code of conduct, confidential reporting, and cooperation with local social welfare authorities.
Building a safe, dignified, and purpose-fit facility for 100 children in the heart of Dodoma
HGIC contributes its land and existing facility space as the foundational in-kind contribution to this project — an asset that anchors the center's permanence and reduces recurring costs significantly. The Year 1 construction and infrastructure component renovates, equips, and secures those spaces to meet child-safe standards.
All construction work is planned in compliance with Tanzania's child welfare regulations and guided by HGIC's commitment to a dignified, functional, and welcoming environment for vulnerable children and their families.
The construction phase is designed to be completed before the center opens for full enrollment, ensuring all 100 children are received into a safe and properly equipped facility from day one.
Renovation of two rooms into dedicated after-school tutoring and learning spaces with desks, chairs, and learning materials storage.
Construction of a functional kitchen with safe cooking equipment and a dining area large enough to serve all 100 children in two sittings.
Construction of gender-separated toilets and handwashing stations aligned to Tanzania's school sanitation standards for child health and hygiene.
Levelling and marking of a multi-use outdoor sports ground for football, netball, and athletics — central to the life-skills program.
Installation of child-safe perimeter fencing, a secured entrance gate, and basic lighting to ensure the safety of all children on the premises.
A dedicated administrative office for the Project Director, a records storage room for child files, and a secure lockable medicine cabinet for the health program.
The evidence from Dodoma Region tells a clear story of child vulnerability

A transparent, line-item view of how USD 114,916 delivers integrated care to 100 children
Every dollar in the Year 1 budget has been costed against current Tanzanian market rates and HGIC's operational knowledge. The budget covers six categories from staffing to infrastructure, with the church contributing land, space, and volunteer leadership as an in-kind match.
Funders may support the full project budget, a specific program component, or a phased tranche aligned to construction and program milestones. A detailed line-item budget and full project proposal document are available upon request from our Project Director.
Once infrastructure is in place and the center is operational, the recurring program cost drops significantly. From Year 2 onward:
This is within the benchmarked range for full-service child development centers across East Africa and positions HGIC's center for long-term, self-sustaining operations as local income streams and church contributions scale.

Together we can transform the lives of vulnerable children in Dodoma
